HKJGOM 2008; 8 (1) 28 Introduction Urinary incontinence is a common problem that can significantly affects the quality of life of women. The reported prevalence of urinary incontinence in Hong Kong ranges between 21 and 41%1,2, of which 40% of women complained of stress incontinence. Surgery for stress incontinence is generally recommended when conservative treatments fail.
